Katedra Otolaryngologii i Onkologii Laryngologicznej
The ENT scientific club is an English division club within Collegium Medicum. We aim to help students get an insight into the field of ENT, familiarise students with the ENT profession through academic and practical means.
The ENT scientific club welcomes all students from 1st to 6th year who are interested in exploring the field of otolaryngology. In 2022/2023, our club has had three papers published in scientific journals and three people who attended conferences in Ireland and Poland.
Our primary focus is on new innovative research and development within the field of Otolaryngology and furthering our clinical skills.
What we do in the ENT Scientific Club:
- Monthly rounds in the Otolaryngology department
- Research opportunities
- Hands on skills session
- Observe surgeries in ENT.
- Student talks
At monthly meetings, we will present and discuss ongoing projects and research. Students also have the opportunity to participate in duty hours at the hospital, accompanying doctors on patient rounds, learning about various clinical cases, acquiring practical skills and deepening theoretical knowledge in the field of Otolaryngology.
We currently have 21 active club members who are a part of scientific papers in the hopes of future publication and presenting at medical conferences. There are currently 6 active research projects within the club.
