Project description
The aim of the project is to establish and conduct interdisciplinary, internationally-oriented full time PhD studies held in English at the Faculty of Medicine Ludwik Rydygier Collegium Medicum Nicolaus Copernicus University.
The interdisciplinary programme of studies responding to the needs of the labour market and the needs of Polish science, through the internationalization of studies and the use of modern teaching methods, is based primarily on a variety of elements to ensure better education of PhD students, including:

- Conducting all classes and the recruitment procedure in English
- Inviting lecturers – specialists in selected fields – from abroad, who will give lectures online with the opportunity to ask questions
- Participation of foreign scientists as reviewers and co-promoters
- Inclusion of foreign online courses into the programme
- Opportunity to write and defend doctoral dissertation in English
- Inclusion of soft skills into the programme and development of research methods competences
- Cooperation with socio-economic environment (specialized classes conducted by external entities)
- Research topics that serve the progress and development of basic and clinical sciences
- Enabling short and long-term trips for conferences, trainings and internships related to the conducted research (including special scholarships for this purpose granted annually)
- Financial support for scientific work (research grants awarded annually)
- Scientific scholarships for all participants
